July in San Francisco
Union Square is the classic downtown base: shops, cable cars and hotels at every price, though the streets south and west get rough quickly. North Beach is the most enjoyable place to stay, with Italian cafés, bars and a village feel, at the cost of hills and a slightly longer walk to transit. Fisherman's Wharf is for families and first-timers who want the bay on the doorstep, but it is the most touristy and least local part of the city.

Send me the trip. I’ll send back the area.
Dates, budget, who’s travelling and the one thing you don’t want to deal with. I’ll answer with a specific base, not a brochure.
