May in Prague
Old Town is the easiest first base: everything is walkable and the metro is close, though it is crowded and tourist-heavy. Malá Strana is quieter and prettier, with the castle above, but transport is slower and the hills are real. Vinohrady is where locals eat and live: better value, a calmer night and a short tram or metro to the centre.

Send me the trip. I’ll send back the area.
Dates, budget, who’s travelling and the one thing you don’t want to deal with. I’ll answer with a specific base, not a brochure.
